About the Artist

Based in Spokane, Washington, Craig Shillam has been working professionally in one form of art or another for many years. Beginning with a  comprehensive three year fine/advertising art program at Spokane Falls Community College, followed by an internship in Portland, Or., he has nearly done it all in an over 30 year professional art career. Advertising Agencies, design studios, freelancing, murals, galleries, paintings, fine art commissions and custom signs, have all had a role to play in his professional art story.

Through the years and professional shifts, the one constant has been the original drawings and paintings he creates in his home studio.

Whether it be a landscape scene from his travels, or a still life painting featuring interesting, every day items, Craig will paint in a representational manner, usually working with oil paints. There have been gallery shows, awards, and commissions along the way, but he's not looking back, only striving to improve with each new painting.
